  • Paste your Payment Reference to continue the application.

  • Check the appropriate box.
  • Click on the “Continue with Reference” button.
  • Paste your Payment Reference to proceed with the application.

  • Accept the Privacy Policy.
  • Click on the “Check Status” button.
  • Enter your Payment Reference.
  • Click on the “Download Certificate” button.
  • When the image is downloaded, tap the pop-up and save it to your preferred location.

  • The NPC Temporary Attestation Number cannot be validated on the NIMC web modification portal. It is only meant for applicants without a NIN, to be used during NIN enrolment.

  • The “Check Status” feature will only work after the Birth Attestation process has been successfully completed.

  • Visit the National Population Commission website: nationalpopulation.gov.ng.
  • Navigate to the Services section.
  • Click on the “Certificate Reprint” module.

  • Visit the National Population Commission website: nationalpopulation.gov.ng.
  • Under the Services section, select the “Certificate Reissuance” module.

  • Birth Attestation: For individuals 18 years and above.
  • Birth Registration: For individuals 0 to 17 years.

  • National Identification Number (NIN)
  • Court Sworn Affidavit

  • Child’s National Identification Number (NIN)
  • Parent’s Attestation Number
